Join Russ Davis as we continue our celebration of Jazz Appreciation Month, established in 2002 by The National Museum of American History at the Smithsonian Institution, as we celebrate the annual “International Jazz Day Concert” taking place this year in Havana, Cuba. We’ll talk to the artistic directors of the concert, America’s Herbie Hancock & Cuba’s Chucho Valdes, as well as Mexico’s Antonio Sanchez and Cameroon’s Richard Bona. We’ll get their thoughts and hear their music as well as that of many more participants from all over the world, on the next Jazz America.
